Soccer has been a huge part of my family's life since before I was born. Over time it became a huge part of my life as well. Without soccer I honestly don’t know where I would be in life. I love this sport and it has given me so much in return. It has shaped my work ethic, taught me perseverance and teamwork. It has provided me with lifelong friendships and opportunities for team bonding while traveling the country. I can’t imagine a college experience without soccer. Playing at the college level has been a goal of mine for a long time. It has become even more important to me after watching my sister and various high school teammates go on to enjoy such an experience in their young college careers.
I have set many goals for myself as I begin to approach my collegiate experience, both on and off the field. The aspects about my athletic character that set me apart from others are my work ethic (in practice and games) as well as my encouragement and support for my teammates and my ability to work together with them. I have a very strong will to continually push myself to new limits on the field and never back down from challenges. Academically, I am very hard on myself and take pride in striving to maintain good grades. This drive is going to help me gain my occupational therapy degree, a field that I am very interested in pursuing. Finally, my personality is a big part of who I am. I care a lot about the people I surround myself with, ie. my family, friends, and teammates.
Combining my personal, athletic, and academic characteristics is the exact reason as to why I am such a good addition to any school & team, as they will always receive 110% effort from me on the field, in the classroom and socially.
