I have been playing soccer since I could walk. I grew up in a family that all played soccer, all my brothers and sisters played, and all my cousins played. it was always so inspiring to see them play and I loved playing with them. I played on small club teams until I was 10. I started playing modified soccer when I was 12, I started as a defensive player and then was moved to midfield. I played midfield during my freshman and sophomore years of high school, my junior year I was moved to forward, and going into my senior year I hope to keep that position but I am flexible in any position. My very first year of varsity soccer was my freshman year, it was so inspiring to see the older girls on the field and in practice working as hard as they could and playing with so much enthusiasm, I wanted to be just like them. Now that I am one of the older girls I want to be an inspiration to my younger teammates and help them to succeed in their playing, I work as hard as I possibly can in both games and practice and try to make sure that my teammates are giving all they can too. I always keep up with my academics while also balancing my athletics because I feel that both are very important.
