I've been playing soccer as long as I can remember. My love for soccer really started to grow in fifth grade on my modified soccer team. Every day I would always be excited for my soccer practice or game at the end of the school day. At the end of my sixth grade modified season, the varsity coach asked me to tryout for the varsity team for my seventh grade year. I was unbelievably excited, so I worked on my foot skills everyday throughout the winter and summer, hoping I would be able to play on the varsity team. I ended up making the team, and my soccer playing expanded to club and ODP that year.
Soccer has not only been fun for me, it has taught me a lot about myself, things that have helped me off the field as well as on the field. I've learned the importance of hard work, always doing the best that I can, and I've also observed how much I can learn from people more experienced than me. I also feel that my personal characteristics make me a better soccer player. One being my ability to think quickly. On and off the soccer field, I have the ability to make quick decisions when I need to. Finally, I am a team oriented person, making it easier for me to pass the ball to my team mates, or make the smartest decision to help my team.
Throughout my high school years, I would like to be on high honors while still taking challenging courses. In college, I would like to major in sports broadcasting, and work hard to be my best on the soccer field and in my collegiate courses.
