Lucy Getzin '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lucy Getzin and I am a 2022 from Ithaca, NY.  Being geographically isolated forces me to travel a lot in order to play at a high level.  My passion for soccer and desire to grow my game have led me to commute almost two hours each way to practices in order to play with one of the top teams in the region (SDA East 04).  In addition to playing with SDA, I get extra touches whenever I can, playing with the older age groups/boys teams locally.  I have started on the Ithaca High School (Size AA) soccer team since my eighth grade year.  My experience playing in many different environments has allowed me to become quick, strong, and versatile.  My strenuous schedule, consisting of soccer and rigorous academics, has helped me develop excellent time management skills.  I am interested in a school that will challenge me both academically and athletically, allowing me to continue to grow as a student athlete.
