My name is Ella Cohn. I am an attacking midfielder (specifically a winger) on the field with my second position as a striker. When I started playing soccer I began as a central defender and played that position for four years. Going into my sophomore year of high school is when I began playing up top as a striker for my high school and club team. This past year, 2021, my position on the field has changed again with me as a winger. My passion for soccer began when I started playing for my middle school team. When high school began, that's when it became more serious for me and I joined a year-long club team.
Self-confidence is something I struggle with but when I'm on the field that all disappears, soccer to me is an escape from reality. Being part of a team is something I love because there is the support given by my coach and teammates. While I am small and not the strongest physically, my strengths on the field is my ability to be quick and fast as well as the willingness to approve.
I hope to be able to play soccer in college at a Division III or II level. While everyday life changes I know that soccer will be the one thing to stay with me. I am confident that I can continuously maintain my academics along with athletics together. I have played all positions on the field before and am flexible to do so again if needed. While I may have not played soccer my whole life, I have found a love for the sport like never before.
