My team winning the state championship in my freshman year was the most exciting experience. I started playing soccer in the 7th grade, a little later than most, and that journey really sealed my love of the game. I continued to grow as a player over the next two years both at the high school and club level. Playing at the club level has been a welcome challenge for me and I worked really head to earn a starting spot for my club team. Playing at that higher level really helped me to enhance and grow my skillset.
Through soccer I have learned about true leadership, perseverance, and resilience. How important it is to celebrate wins but also bounce back and take lessons from mistakes and loss, as they both help to shape you as a player. With triumphs there will also be adversity and both of these will influence who you are and will become.
