Anastasia Gavette '24 Recruiting Profile

I am in the class of 2024 at Margaretville Central School. I was supposed to play my first year of varsity soccer in my freshman year  but our season was cancelled due to COVID. My sophomore year we had a season where I started the season as the the starting goalie due to our starter being unavailable. I than was one of our starting strikers, scoring 5 goals. I was moved to LB at the end of the season due to our starter getting injured. I was able to help our team make our league championship and a run in sectionals. After the season I was named 3rd team All-Star. My junior year I played as our teams CM where I lead the team in goals with 9 and helped lead our team to being crowned co-league champions.

 I have been playing travel soccer since I was young starting with my local club, Delaware County United, I  then played for Albany GPS until it folded and then played with North Star Premier. I then played for the Albany Rush where I played up on their 04/05 team due to no 06 team.  I am now playing for Quickstrikes 05/06 team. I usually play center back or either outside back. I am willing to play any position and work to be able to be strong in any position on the field.

I am a hard working, physical defender that is working on improving my foot work and passing to improve my game. I strive to be a stronger player every year.

I try to work just as hard in the classroom and to stay on honor roll every quarter.  I look to further my education in college and playing soccer in college. I hope to find a college that will help me get to where I want to be in my career and I can help their soccer team be a competitive team. I am looking to find a college that can offer me a strong criminal justice/ crime scene investigation program. I also am looking to find a team that is tight and more like a family than a team.
