My name is Lauren Gerow, I'm an outside midfielder from Corning, NY. I attend Corning-Painted Post High School where I've played at the varsity level since freshman year, starting every game beginning my sophomore year. I play for Greater Binghamton FC, formerly GPS Binghamton also as an outside midfielder. I have played soccer since I was 5 year old. I am extremely coachable and am always looking for ways to better myself and my team. I also participate in indoor and outdoor track where my main events are the 400m and hurdles.
Off the field, I am an active member of my school community in Youth Activation Committee (YAC), Student-Athlete Leadership Committee, and numerous volunteer opportunities like the Wineglass Marathon and Make A Wish Foundation. In YAC, we strive to connect with our classmates with special needs through sports such as basketball and bowling. In Student-Athlete Leadership Committee, we bring the voice of my school's athletes to the attention of the athletic director.
In college, I plan to major in chemistry with a focus on forensic chemistry with hopes to one day work in a lab analyzing evidence. I currently am taking 5 International Baccalaureate (IB) courses along with a Syracuse University Project Advance (SUPA) forensics course. My current weighted GPA is 97.91.
