My name is Charlotte Manganello, I attend School of the Holy Child in Rye NY(class of 2026) and I play club for Eastern FC 2007 girls. I have been playing soccer for as long as I remember and absolutely love the game. I have played for my high school varsity team since the 8th grade, during which I earned a starting spot towards the end of the season and held that spot for all of my freshman season and sophomore season. I am a quick and strong winger/striker and am constantly using my speed, athleticism, and strong soccer IQ to my advantage. What you will not be able to see through my film is my leadership and communication skills. I believe my ability to create a positive impact on my teammates and the game not only through my technical/physical attributes sets me apart from many other players. I also compete nationally as a mogul skier, I have qualified for Junior Nationals three times, Nationals twice, and several times NorAm's(international events). This year I was the U-17 East Coast Divisional champion. Through the sport of skiing, I have developed a strong ability to handle high-pressure moments that I feel carry over strongly to soccer and give me an edge over my competition.
Academically I am a strong student maintaining a 3.75-3.8 GPA unweighted while taking three advanced courses my sophomore year and landing on the honor roll all marking periods. For next year, I qualified for at least two AP courses and my school's Advanced Humanities Institute. I particularly excel in the humanities including my interest in history and passion for writing. I hope to attend a school that will foster these abilities.
