Soccer has been a part of my life since I was a little girl. I started playing with my cousins and my father. When I started school I joined the TCYSA league, then moved to modified, and played varsity in my freshman year. I also played on a spring travel league called Soaring Capitals Soccer Club starting when I was about 10 years old. Over all of those years, I never gave soccer up. Through my career our school team as won two division titles, but have fallen short on winning two IAC (Interscholastic Athletic Conference) Championship titles. Coming off of these two loses in two consecutive years was frustrating. However, the path that our team took to get there was eventful. As a freshman, I scored the winning goal to win the division title to send us off to the IAC Championship game. That goal was one to remember. All of the practicing and hard work I put in showed in that game when I scored that goal.
Academically, I have always been an outstanding student. Through high school, all of my grades have never been below a 90 (that is out of 100). I have always been in advanced classes pushing myself to the maximum. This school year (2018-2019) I am taking college level courses which have help me see how real college classes will end up being. My grades in these AP (Advanced Placement) and ACE (College Course) classes have still been in the 90-100 range even though they are very difficult. My overall weighted average is a 97.27, while my unweighted is a 99.96. Out of the 72 students in my class, I am ranked 2nd. I take pride in not only soccer, but my schoolwork as well. School and having high grades are a huge part of my life. I want to succeed in school because I know that will help me immensely in the future with college and finding the right job.
