Since I was little, I have always wanted to play soccer. Playing many other sports throughout my life, like lacrosse, basketball, ice skating, gymnastics, dance, horseback riding, etc. have helped me become who I am today, but soccer was the one sport that stuck with me the longest. The best thing about playing soccer is the people I meet and the bonds I make. If it wasn't for soccer, I might not have known many people that I do today. I interact with all the players on every team I am on and make them want to be involved. As a four-time captain, I try to make the best of every situation and make others feel comfortable. I am very outgoing once you get to know me but I am serious when its time to focus. Academics are very important to me, so I try my hardest in school. I enjoy learning new things and putting them into real-life situations. Balancing soccer and school is sometimes hard, but I love the challenge. If I didn't have one or the other in line I don't think I'd be where I am today.
Being on a team that has won the Section V New York State Championship back to back years is a privilege. It inspires me to want to help the team to continue to succeed over the next few years. I enjoy playing soccer with my closest friends and achieving high ranks with them. I hope to continue this path into my college career while studying biomedical engineering or a major in the medical field.
