When I was in 7th grade I joined the Wilmington Hammerheads, for those first few years I went through a time where I believed I was good enough to play at the college level if I wanted to. It wasn't until September of 2018 which I realized I was not where I wanted to be. I wanted to be better than I was. It wasn't that I was bad, I was a pretty good player, but I knew I could be great if I put in the work. I suddenly was not okay knowing that there was girls out there that were working harder and were better than me. From that point forward I worked almost every day on my own. I began logging how many hours I trained every day and put it on the wall in my room to hold myself accountable. I researched proper ways on how to train, knowing that it's not about the quantity of training hours but the quality of those trainings. My overall goal is to become the best possible player I can be. I use other stronger players as my motivation. I am looking for a school that will be good fit for me both academically and athletically. With my strong work ethic, perseverance, and optimism, I think I will be a great fit to play at the college level. I want to be able to play the sport I love so much in a college setting and I know I will give everything I have into being the best I can be for my team.
