Madison Steele '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Maddie Steele and I live in Harrisburg, North Carolina. I fell in love with soccer ever since I stepped on the pitch at 5 years old. Ever since I was young, college soccer has always been one of my biggest goals.

Through hard work and determination, I earned a position as a starting centerback for the Carolina Rapids ECNL Program. In the first year of our program, our team qualified for the National Playoffs in Seattle, Washington. I am in my sophomore year at Hickory Ridge High School where I am the starting centerback for the varsity soccer team. Last season, I helped lead my team to the third round of the NC state tournament.  I have been praised for my coachability, strong fundamentals, and abilty to read the field well.

Not only do I work extremely hard on the field, but this same effort extends to my classrooms. I am currently enrolled in multiple honors classes where I have a 4.175 GPA. For my future, I am looking for a university that will continue to challenge me both academically and athletically.
