Marissa Crawley, I’m 17 years old and I have lived in North Carolina all my life. I played my first season of soccer when I was 11 years old and haven't missed a season since. I can’t get enough soccer. I just love everything about the game; the competition, the creativity of making plays, and of course being on a team. I just have so much fun no matter who I'm playing with. I grew up loving soccer and playing with my two older siblings and all the boy cousins too. Every holiday, we would all go out and play a big pick up game as a family. My family was the reason I started playing soccer. Just kicking the ball around the back yard and watching my brother and sister's games. My family is my biggest support system. My dad coached me for the first few years of my career, he taught me all the basics and how to be a good leader on and off the field while being encouraging. My mom taking me all over Charlotte to practice and make sure I'm on time. My brother who has pushed me the hardest to not only work on my skills but also on fitness, and making me a better competitor. My older sister, who lead by example as the captain of her college soccer team. I couldn't imagine my life without soccer. Soccer has just given me the best experience and has taught me a lot. I'm just wanting to play for as long as possible. To play in college and to get to the next level would just be amazing. I want to learn more about the game , grow my skills and understand the game better. That's why I would make a great addition to your college athletics program.
