"If you stay ready, you don't have to get ready", simply my favorite quote that embodies and drives my life. In every aspect of life, I "stay ready" by putting in the work, time, and energy that no one else will. Soccer is the same way, doing the extra practice, extra sprints, healthy nutrition and recovery, extra pass or shot, and any additional work that needs to be done in-order for me to be ready and compete at my best.
My name is Meredith Warrick, I am a center midfielder ( who is versatile to play any position). I am 5'6, 140lb., and not afraid to get dirty. Soccer is my passion and what drives me. I absolute love the game, its challenges, obstacles, and success it brings.
I started playing soccer when I was 5 years old. Four years ago I decided to move and play at a higher level. I train with the team four days a week, but more importantly I train on my own as well. Whether its foot skills, passing, shooting, going to the gym or conditioning. Putting in the work alone is what sets me apart from what others aren't doing.
I have always been told by my coaches that I am very coachable, have extreme work ethic and am a natural leader. My teammates would say I'm a tough competitor, willing to take on any position and opponent, a positive encouraging attitude with high soccer IQ and that I push myself and the team to our full potential. My competitors might recognize me as extremely competitive, technical and tactical.
Volunteering is an essential part in my life, as I volunteer for many different organizations and business. Currently, I am serving as a Cadet with EMS, allowing me to carry over my knowledge from soccer to the community. Letting me to continue to "stay ready" and be prepared for the job at stake and also preparing me for my interest into the medical field.
I always want to push myself as far and as strong as I can go. Therefore, I am self-motivated to go throughout life being determined and driving myself to my absolute best while using the gifts God gave me. I want to be successful, and to "stay ready" for any and everything.
