Lillian Jones '27 Recruiting Profile

I'm Lillian Jones, and soccer has been my passion since I was very young. On the field, I strive to be a very versatile player for my teammates. I excel in setting up plays, delivering powerful shots from just outside the box, and providing solid defensive cover for my back line. My coaches have said I am very strong technically and I feel my strengths are in my tackling, long distance shooting, and my accuracy of passing. I always try to lead by example and place the team's success above all else.

I play club soccer with Polaris SC in Westerville, OH, coached by Brandon Koons (Otterbein University Women’s Soccer Head Coach). In the fall season, I am a starter on my high school’s varsity team. Despite missing most of my freshman year with a broken leg, I was one of the team’s top goal scorers. I also take private training sessions with Ian Pena, my first club coach who was instrumental in developing my love for the game and high soccer IQ.

Academically, I maintain straight A’s, taking advanced classes to prepare for a career in the medical field. As the oldest of five children, I cherish values like loyalty, hard work, and teamwork. My younger siblings also push my extremely competitive spirit.

I hope to use collegiate soccer as a tool to get the most out of my education and help me reach my future career goals. I am enthusiastic about contributing to a program and eager to further develop both as a player and as an individual.
