Hi coaches, my name is Béatrice Sirois and I am a striker graduating in June 2026. I play Regional level soccer for Ottawa South United in Ottawa, Ontario.
I've been playing and watching soccer for over ten years. I also follow women's soccer very closely and I know all the statistics and information on the best players, especially in the WSL (Women's Super League in England). I attended my first ever Women’s World Cup in Vancouver at 7 years old, and my second Women’s World Cup in France when I was 11. All my idols have always been soccer players and I can't remember a game where I haven’t stepped onto the field aspiring to play like them.
I love representing my club team. Playing at University level and having the honour and privilege to wear the name of a University and represent it is something I want very much.
As for academics, I am a bilingual high 80’s student who attends a French arts school in Ottawa, Canada. I’ve been published twice and I have won two awards for French poetry and short stories. I haven’t yet decided what I want to study but I’m interested in Social Sciences, Languages, Communications and Journalism.
I’ve had experience with high pressure and high standard play. In March 2023 I attended an invitation-only training camp in Madrid, Spain at the Ciudad Real Madrid (the official First Team Réal Madrid facilities) where I trained with boys from 14-16 for a total of 8 sessions in 6 days. This experience made me an even more physical player. I have never been afraid to use my body to get the ball and hold players away from the ball.
In January 2024 I attended the EXACT Girls Showcase in Washington DC where I was evaluated 92/100. Coach Mellon (US Naval Academy) said in his evaluation: "Great attitude and a pleasure to work with at camp. Béatrice brings energy to every session. Her knowledge of the game and work ethic stand out. Her awareness on the field and technical skills help her create opportunities for teammates. As a 2026 grad, she still has time to develop physically and has the potential to become and elite player. She has a bright soccer career ahead of her."
Furthermore, I am a junior on my school senior soccer team and I am also the captain of this team.
I cannot wait to keep pursuing my ambitions under the new eye and opportunity that comes with University recruiting.
