I began my soccer career at the age of three. Since then, my love for the game has only grown. I have always wished to play as a professional and to represent my country in the Olympics, and I know that playing at a university will provide me with many opportunities in the future. This is one of the many reasons I wish to play at the collegiate level, to enhance my skills and create pathways to success.
I am very tall, 5'11", and my height benefits my finishing abilities, speed and agility. I am a natural team leader and role model, always pushing my teammates to be better, and my hard work, determination and communication allow me to lead by example. I have excellent soccer IQ, and am able to recognize situations on the field and react to them almost immediately. I have great dribbling and ball handling skills, and can trap and head balls with ease. I have a great shot, and strong finishing abilities. My height and long legs allow me to put the ball in the net. I have excellent endurance, I am able to run hard for the entire game. I make great runs to receive the ball, and I have great timing and acceleration, which helps me to get past defenders. I am also a great passer, I send through balls and can chip and drive the ball with spin. I try new things all the time, and my creativity is one of my best attributes. I work hard on defence and can clear balls and stop counter-attacks with my quick thinking and fast transition.
At school, I have excellent grades, despite how many classes I miss due to my participation in school sports. I am recognized as an intelligent person, and I maintain a high GPA and obtain great results due to my work ethic. I am part of a lot of clubs, such as debate team and the wellness committee, enhancing my thinking process and my awareness of others, which help me on the pitch. I volunteer at summer camps, coaching young soccer players and demonstrating my leadership and teaching abilities. I also run in a track club, which contributes to my endurance on the field and my development in relationships with coaches and teammates.
As a hardworking and coachable player, I wish to attend a college that will develop my soccer skills and my learning abilities and push me to improve as a player, teammate, student and person. I am very interested in maths, sciences, business and languages as a field of study, meaning I am strong academically in a variety of subjects. I have a high level of commitment and I am open to attending schools that allow me to work hard and get better. Ultimately, I want to make my family, friends and supporters proud of how far I have come. To find a university that allows me to compete at a high level will allow me to grow. I hope to find a good match.
