I started playing water polo when I was a sophomore and fell in love with it right away. I was a national stream synchronized swimmer for 8 years previously and decided I needed a new challenge. I wanted to try a different sport where I could achieve similar national stream level playing status. I signed up for a trial with the Toronto Golden Jets and loved it from day 1. I have always loved being on a team and having a group of people to go through experiences with, whether it be winning a game, losing a game or any thing in-between, it’s amazing to know that you have a group of people there for you that have the same passion and drive. This year I will be playing club on 3 different age group divisions; under 16, under 19, and major league. I train primarily with the University of Toronto women’s water polo team and Toronto Golden Jets. I was selected to train as well with the Regional Development Center (RDC), under 19 team. Aside from synchro and water polo, I have also been training in karate for 8 years and achieved black belt status in 2019. I have proven that I am a dedicated and disciplined athlete. The combination of my synchro swimming & karate background has allowed me to gain the various water polo skills to become a key contributor to my various teams.
I am from Toronto, Canada and am a junior at Lawrence Park CI. I have been involved with numerous school activities, clubs and teams, such as swim team, water polo team. I am on the ME to WE council and have also helped organize our schools WE conference as well as leading other WE fundraising initiatives. I also coached a middle school swim team & several younger kids at the karate dojo!
My goal is to continue to improve within the next season & to play water polo while still getting a high quality education in college.
