One of my biggest accomplishments is my recovery from an ACL injury before my freshman year of high school. The recovery, being long and rigorous, taught me many things about myself and my passion for the game of soccer. Through this injury I learned that I needed to have persistence throughout the recovery process in order to come back stronger than I was before. Having to sit out of the sport I love for over a year was one of the most difficult things I've had to do. However, it taught me a very important lesson; do not take anything for granted. I now appreciate and value every training and game more than I did before, knowing it could be my last. I have been playing soccer since my earliest years and fell in love with the thrill and the competitive edge it brings out of me. One of my favorite things about soccer is being able to be a part of a team while still having your own role that you are accountable for. A characteristic that I possess is being a leader on and off the field. I always aim to be positive and lead by example especially in rough times. I also take pride in my actions off the field when it comes to respecting myself and others and making responsible decisions. Academics are very important to me and I strive to be able to manage athletics and school. My academic goal for high school is to maintain a high 3.9 GPA and finish at the top of my class.
