100m br (2nd lane...Personal Statement
Hi, I'm Meredith Chicilo from Calgary, Alberta. I started swimming at 9 years old, after suffering multiple growth plate fractures causing me to leave competitive gymnastics. I began to swim much later then my other friends in the sport, so I have also had to work my way up from the bottom to reach the top groups and achieve meet standards. I qualified for Western Canadian Championships in the 50m Breaststroke and strive to achieve my Canadian Nationals and Trials times this season. I have constantly heard about the team spirit and excitement of college level meets and look forward to experiencing these things for myself.
I attend St. Francis High School and have maintained an above 90% overall average over the past couple of years. I am excited too explore the many different colleges the NCAA has to offer.
