Emme Metzmaker '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Emme Metzmaker, I've been swimming since I was about 7 years old and it has been such a huge part of my life.  I love swimming for the way that it pushes me to work hard and I have used lessons from my training and competition in all aspects of my life.  Swimming has taught me that hard work, a positive attitude, and resilience are essential to success.  I also love having a team that I can count on and bond with during all of the challenges that swimmers face. 

Since I was little I've always worked hard in school.  Honestly, I've always been competitive. I strive to be the best I can be in both swimming and school.  I choose the courses and pathways that would push me the hardest, like being in the IB program and taking AP classes.  I'd love to be part of a college level team and meet new people from different backgrounds that want to work hard together to be the best team that we can.  I would love to find coaches and teammates that help me balance taking classes, competing at the college level, and having fun while doing both.  I can bring a positive attitude, dedication, and a willingness to work hard for myself and my team to a college program that will give me a chance.  I look forward to talking with coaches and sharing my enthusiasm for being a part of your team.
