There have been many setbacks and successes in my short athletic career, but also in my personal life. I have had the chance to go around the world to train and compete with many athletes and coaches. I have been taught many things from different coaches and fellow athletes. They have taught me how to participate/compete with a more open-mind; "the more you are willing to change and try the more you will be able to grow and succeed" Craig McCormick (my current coach). I’ve always been told if I want something, the only way I will obtain it is by working for it; nothing in this world comes easy and I have definitely learned that.
If I set a goal or want to get something I won't stop until I have gotten it! I will exhaust every resource I have, and perform & train to my highest abilities.
My coach, over and over tells me the road to success will never be an easy one; the past 2018-2019 season was a very weak season (because of personal events that came up and injuries). During this season, there was also very little opportunity to race as much as I would have liked, but I was able to train. I have realized what is truly important in my life and the path I want to follow to be able to reach my goals.
My main goal for this season and the many seasons to follow is to not be as hard on myself and be able to tell myself I am doing a good job, when I am and to put in a full effort 100% of the time. Everything I do, I want to do with complete confidence.
