Kenya Brown '20 Recruiting Profile

    As a year-round club swimmer, as well participating on a summer swim team, I have developed a competitive spirit and a strong work ethic. Additionally, I have learned the value of managing my time to complete academic and other responsibilities.

    From participating in Maryland States Freshman Year and METROs both Freshman-Sophomore Years, I am pushing boundaries with my teammates to improve both individually and as a team. 

    I am driven, coachable and am always looking for a challenge to excel in anything I do. Leading by example, I focus on academics, nutrition and consistent athletic training so that I can achieve overall success. Also, my enthusiasm for strength training in the gym, to improve my swim performance, is passed on to my teammates. I challenge them with focused workouts, healthy eating habits, and the benefits of motivating each other. My goal is to improve each day, resulting in peak performance at conferences.

    Exercise Science, strength training, and nutrition has become a passion of mine. I want to learn in depth concepts and apply them in college as well as my future career.
