I started swimming competitively when I joined my school's high school swim team in 7th grade. I fell in love with the sport at my very first practice and I knew I wanted to keep swimming competitively as long as I could. Swimming has had a major impact on my life. It has taught me dedication, the importance and reward of hard work, and most importantly, how to be a positive team member. Swimming continues to impact my life. Every day I look forward to swim practice. It gives me the opportunity to focus and push myself as hard as I can. In college I plan to better my skills as a swimmer and teammate. I look forward to competitive swimming being part of my college career where I can push myself to be the best I can be.
I have only been swimming competitively for five, going to be six years. Each year I have dropped a significant amount of time. I believe with collegiate-level training I will continue to drop time and reach my full potential as a competitive swimmer.
