Personal Statement
Swimming to me is more than just a sport, it's where I really found myself as a self motivated individual. It has effected many aspects of my life including my social and academic life entirely. I love the feeling of feeling accomplished, passionate, and driven during the season and strive to help my teammates feel the same. During the season I believe goal setting is important for everyone on the team, as well as continuing to focus on school work.

- In the off season I swim for about two hours, 2-3 times a week after school for Kansas City Swim Academy. I also swim twice a week before school on my own for around 45 minutes to work on my technique. This is my fifth year swimming club.

- I lift weights and do cross-fit cardio sets before school 2-3 times a week for an hour. I also do the same thing on the Saturdays and Sundays for about two hours, all with my former swim coach.
