Paige Smith '19 Recruiting Profile

I have been swimming since I was five years old, and it has played an important roll in my life with the friendships I have made and the person I have become. Through swimming, I have become a strong and experienced leader. I am a two-time captain, voted into that position by my peers. My track record for leadership also includes the Coach's Award, given to swimmers who show leadership qualities and is a role model to the younger teammates.

I have also seen many successes in the pool. I hold four school records: the 200 medley relay, the 200 IM, the 200 freestyle relay, and the 400 freestyle relay. Not only that, but I have set numerous pool records across Western New York, those records mainly being held in the 500 freestyle. I was also voted MVP for the 2017 -2018 season on my club team, and the 2018 season for varsity. I am willing to put in the effort it takes to repeat these efforts and beyond in the collegiate level.

As well as continuing my swimming career, I am looking to go into an education major at a small or medium sized school. I would love to continue my leadership roles from the pool into a classroom.
