I am dedicated to improving myself mentally and physically. My motto is “if I am not out of breath, I did not do my best”. My final goal is to become an Olympian Swimmer. I want to and I need to win, it’s in my blood to be competitive. I’m not only good in sports but I am really verbal in my academics. I took my regents in middle school so I am much farther than the incoming freshman’s when I attended HS in 2019. My future career plan is to go in the medicine field but find one sports related. I came to the decision of pursuing being a sports physician/doctor.
I am considered a good candidate for your team because I am willing to make sacrifices just to get a taste of what it is like to become an Olympian. I am a natural born leader who advocates for those who are silent. In addition to that, I have the ability of making everyone feel comfortable when they are around me. Therefore, being an advocate for other helps me vouch for myself. I take everything and everyone into consideration at all times, whether if it is feedback, feelings and issues. At the beginning of the starting line, I see myself standing behind the block waiting for that "Take Your Mark" call but in my head; I'm already in the water.
Kind regards,
Elizabeth Bailey-Hamm
