My name is Kelly Waryncia, and I am in the 2018 graduating class at Shenendehowa High School, in Clifton Park, NY. I have loved the water ever since my parents adopted me in China when I was ten months old. They put me in the hotel pool the very next day... and my love for swimming began! My parents immediately enrolled me in swim lessons at the YMCA, and I joined the YMCA Barracudas Swim Team at 7 years old. This is also my fourth season on the Shenendehowa High School varsity swim team.
I danced both tap and ballet for 11 years, from age 3 to age 14, and then I decided to focus completely on swimming. Having experience competing on both swim and dance teams has made me a motivated teammate. I always cheer for other swimmers and encourage them to do their best. I especially love the younger swimmers on the Barracudas, who many times can be found sitting on my lap during a swim meet.
I currently have a 91.6 average at Shenendehowa. I am interested in chemistry as a possible college major.
