Qualifying for Age Groups when I was 12 was one of my biggest accomplishments. I knew the reason I made it was because I put in effort and listened to my coach throughout the training system. After this experience I learned to constantly push myself and never stop believing that I can achieve my goals. Goal setting in athletics has always helped me focus and improve. I love pushing myself and seeing how far I can go. Bad races and meets just makes me want to work harder and help me understand what I need to improve on.
Being on a team has always been a love of mine. On my team there are a lot of little kids and I enjoy helping them. Whether I am showing them how to swim a stroke or explaining what warm up is I am always happy to do it. I really enjoy being in a team environment and how everyone supports each other. One of the most important aspects of being on a team is being there for each other and pushing each other. I believe that on your team, I would be able to listen to directions, support my teammates, and improve.
