My very first swimming race was when I was five years old, and I have been competitively swimming for 7 years. Being able to continue my swimming career at the collegiate level would be an outstanding experience.
Every year I show there is room for improvement in every event I compete in. I swim each race and practice with dedication; Even so, I help bring the team together and stay focused by making sure every teammate of mine is working their hardest and understanding the sets. I always welcome and take constructive criticism seriously on my form, so I am a very easy swimmer to coach.
In the classroom, I strive in the mathematics and science departments. I maintain high GPA, and honor roll, and I took algebra 1 and environmental science courses along with the NYS regents exams in 8th grade with 90+ scores. I strive to take as many science and math courses my school provides, but I also value other core subjects and art classes.
I am looking for a college that will exceed my educational standards but also push me in the pool. When it comes to location and size, I have no preference when it comes to my place of study, yet a college that focuses on its education just as much as the athletics is the place for me. No matter how hard I work in the pool, my grades will never slip, so there is no doubt I am a great match for any college no matter the workload provided in the pool or in the classroom.
