As a student of Washingtonville High school my primary focus is on academics with swimming as a close second. Academically, I would like to pursue a career in teaching with the hopes of coaching within the local school district.
I began competitively swimming in the 4th grade when I joined the Washingtonville Seahawks, the local swim club. As I progressed and matured I made it my goal to join the varsity swim team. Tryouts were held just before 7th grade and after a grueling day of competition, I made the team. I was very excited but at the same time nervous because I knew how hard training would be. Thanks to hard work and my amazing coaches I continue to improve and learn more each season. As an older member of both my school team and club team I have become a role model for the younger members of both teams and have even become captain of the Washingtonville Seahawks.
