My name is Courtney Fulton and I am a senior at Lake Norman High School in Mooresville, NC. I am 17 years old, 5'8" and 130 lbs. My best events are the 50 free and 100 free. I began swimming competitively at the age of 11 for Sun Devil Aqautics in Phoenix, AZ. I swam at the Group 2 level for 9 months, then swam at the Group 3 level for a year and a half under coach Jessica Vipperman. I was then placed in the Senior-Gold Group as a 13-year-old. My coach became Patrick Nalley. I swam with Gold for 1 year. I went to Age Group State on the 400 free relay, where my relay placed 5th. I stopped swimming club the summer before my freshman year, and began the high school swimming season under coach Steve Mancuso. I earned a Varsity letter my freshman year and went to State on the 400 free relay. My sophomore year, I began swimming the 100 Butterfly for the first time and ended the season with a time of 1:06, as well as competing in the 100 Free and 200 Free during the season. I was a member of the 200 Free Relay at State. After my sophomore year I began swimming club again with AZAC under head coach Michelle Hojnacki. I then moved to North Carolina my junior year and I now swim with SwimMAC Carolina under coach John Fedena. I want to continue to swim through high school and college and see how far my work ethic and determination can take me. I'm not picky about the location of the school. I would prefer to go to a medium or large college if possible, but I wouldn't mind going to a small, liberal arts school. I am open to any division, I just want to swim at a competitive program. I am interested in colleges with a European history program and the opportunity to study abroad.
