My name is Paige Kern, I have been swimming since I was five years old. I live in a rural area where swimming isn't considered a sport by many. My drive is so strong for swimming that it takes 40-45 minutes one way to reach my swim club. I am a very competitive swimmer that is always looking to improve my skills. Due to the lack of competitive swim clubs in my area and school commitments I conferred with a professional trainer to create my own dry-land practice. I wake up every morning at 5:00 AM to complete my 40–50-minute dry-land exercise routine before going to Montgomery Early College. My swim club also does not have weekend swimming, so I go to a local YMCA on the weekends to get in as many hours swimming as I can.
I am a very competitive and dedicated swimmer with the technique and times to succeed at the collegiate level. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the most dedicated and hardest working swimmers recruits you’ll find.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I also volunteer at food pantries and am currently a member of our student government as the Vice President.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and in the pool. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers and make my parents proud.

- I quilifed to swim all individual events but NCHSSA rules are you can only swim 4 events. I swam two relays (200 IM Medely & 200 Freestyle Relays) and individual events 200IM and 100 Breaststroke.

- This summer 2021 the Nike Swim Camp in the Carolina's is being offered at Wingate University, in Wingate, NC. Wingate's coaching staff, led by assistant coach, Greg Doyle, wants to push you to new heights this summer through innovative stroke refinement drills and dry-land conditioning. Instruction and daily activities take place in Wingate’s Natatorium.

- Swimmers at this camp will focus on developing a strong race strategy for events 100 and 200 yards in any stroke as well as maintaining a strong emphasis on starts and turns. By learning how to vary components of technique, pacing, and tempo, participants can take their racing to the next level in any stroke. Saturday's sessions will focus on starts and events 200 yards in length. Sunday's sessions will focus on turns and swimming a fast 100 yard race. This camp will be led by Olympian and Elite Clinician Norbert Szabo!
