Ever since I was an age group swimmer, all of my coaches have commented on how coachable I am. I have never been nor will be the tallest swimmer on the team, so I strive to perfect the little technical aspects of my stroke to achieve my goals. One of my biggest long-term goals is to swim for a competitive college team. I am very determined to do well and work hard, so I believe college swimming will be a very good fit for me after high school. While I enjoy the satisfaction of dropping time, I also find pleasure from pushing myself in practice. Every day during hard sets I try to encourage others as well as myself. I think encouragement is necessary for everyone to reach their goals, and once I set a goal, I will not stop until I have met it or I have exhausted all my resources in every humanly possible attempt to reach it. The same applies to my academics. I have very high standards for myself that I strive to meet while completing my assignments. I do not believe in cutting corners in class or in the pool.
