I have been playing tennis since I was nine years old. When I first started to play tennis, it struck a chord in me that made me determined to play at the collegiate level. Whenever I play, it feels like nothing else matters in the entire world. I know that playing in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my tennis game for the better.
I have a very powerful serve, and a powerful flat forehand, with good control. My goal is to gain experience and get better in tennis, I want to be one of the best players at the school I apply to. I am very coachable to the point where if you ask me to try something different, I will do it very well on the first try. I am the hardest working and most dedicated player on my team and I strive to be the most dedicated on the collegiate level too. My parents have never pushed me to pursue tennis, I have always pushed myself, and my family says maybe a little too much. If I ever make a mistake, I stay late after practice to correct it. I am the captain of my high school team, and I like to lead others and try to be a good role model.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I also volunteer at the House Rabbit Society and the Special Olympics, and I have been the president of the Animal Rescue Club for 3 years in a row. I want to attend a college that will push me in the classroom and on the court. I want a balanced life. I am open to all options and want to find the right college that will help me succeed in the classroom and on the tennis court.
