I began playing tennis competitively when I was 13 years old. I realized how much I love to play and since then have been mainly focusing on tennis and academics. I started later than others so needed to catch up, but I was willing to put in all the work necessary. I had some disadvantages like lack of matchplay experience, but I did not see these disadvantages as obstacles. I saw them as a motivation to work even harder to overcome them and reach the level I know I can. From the dedication, commitment, determination, and focus I started to play USTA tournaments. At first, it was tough mentally, but I learned from every loss and wanted to improve. I am fortunate to have a coach that focuses on my weaknesses and pushes me to turn them into strengths. I learned I can accomplish anything that I work hard at. Playing tennis has taught me the drive to reach my goals.
Academically I am an honor student and strive to do my best at everything. I would like to find a university that continues to challenge me academically and allows me to progress in tennis. I am looking for a program that will fit me best both academically and athletically.
I have the drive to compete for your college team!
