Although both tennis and golf are considered "individual sports," I take great pride in my ability to perform and communicate as a "team player" in those and all of the others that I have participated in over the years. In addition to the above, I have been pleased to have been told by many of my coaches that I am the most athletic or one of the most athletic players on the court/field. I believe this to be the end result of the many years of dance, soccer, baseball, softball, swimming, golf, basketball, volleyball, and of course tennis that I have played competitively over a majority of my childhood years prior to entering high school. To add to that, I am also very honored to have been told that I am very coachable on and off the court/field as well. I was voted co-captain of the Girls Varsity Tennis Team this past fall (2017) by my teammates. I genuinely care about and participate in the successful growth of my teammates both on and off the court/field. Feeling very self-aware of the fact that I have to put significant effort into studying because I am not one of those naturally smart students, I work very hard to maintain my 3.67 GPA as I realize that my academic performance supersedes my sports. I consider myself to be a "people person" and have been told I am a leader rather than a follower by not only coaches, but also by the parents of my teammates/friends. As a very driven and career sports competitor, I want to take my favorite sport of tennis as far as I can throughout my collegiate life, and experience all of the great friendships and camaradarie that I will experience along the way!
