Jonellis Heredia '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Jonellis Heredia. I am 17 years old and attend Hickory Career and Arts Magnet School (HCAM) in Hickory, North Carolina. My GPA is currently at 4.03. Since HCAM doesn't have any sports teams, I play for Hickory High School. I've been playing since I was 7 years old, so about 10 years now. In my freshman year, I was ranked 3 on the team and made it to state playing doubles that year. I did not play my sophomore year due to COVID and being diagnosed with Lupus. It was a very tough time for me, but once I started medication, I came back and went straight back on to the court, only losing 1 singles match my junior year. My goal is to play for a great college to develop both my academic and athletic talents and skills while studying psychology and emergency medicine.
