I am a junior at Pinecrest High School in Pinehurst, North Carolina. I am a dual sport athlete playing junior varsity basketball and my passion, tennis. For several years I have played USTA tournaments, and this year is exciting having the opportunity to represent my school playing number one singles and number one doubles on the varsity tennis team. This year I played doubles with the number three player on our team who was a senior, and we finished 1st in conference, 2nd in regionals, and made it to the semi-finals of the 4A high school state tournament. This accomplishment was the furthest that any player in my high school has made it in the state tournament in over 20 years. These experiences have driven me to continue to be the best student-athlete I can be.
I am open to different types of schools, and I will work hard to be a strong player for any team. I travel all over the Southern section to compete in high level tournaments and recently moved up to Girls’ 18 after finishing 19th in North Carolina and 83rd in the South for Girls’ 18s. At school, I take all honors and AP classes earning A’s, and I am an active member and volunteer in student government as well. I am a determined tennis player as I train over an hour away to improve my skills. Aside from being determined, I am highly competitive and play best under pressure. My athletic goals are too compete at the highest level possible, support and build up my school, and make my team as great as it can be. I am 5 feet 7 inches, 120 pounds, left hand dominant, and use my quickness and speed to my advantage on the tennis court. I am looking forward to continuing to grow and develop in tennis and school.
