Madison Ryan '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Maddie Ryan and from Chandler, Arizona. I am currently 17 years old and a senior in high school. My goal is to be able to pursue my education in business as well as furthering my career in track and field. I enjoy both the hard-working aspect and commitment that the college life has to offer, making me believe that my college experience wouldn't be complete without continuing the passion and drive I have found in this sport. I would consider myself to be one of the hardest working individuals you could come across with of course always keeping a smile on my face no matter what circumstances come about. I moved here in my junior year of high school from Washington and was predominantly a soccer player for over 11 years before transitioning to track/xc. My best event would be the 1600, running a 5:32 in 8th grade and a 5:24 my sophomore year with minimal training.  As a senior now, I have been consistently training throughout this xc season at Chandler Prep and plan to stay focused and constantly driven.
