For as long as I can remember, I have always had younger siblings. I am the oldest of 5 kids in my family, and growing up like this has really contributed to who I am today. By helping to take care of them, I learned responsibility from an early age, and it has stuck with me throughout my life, helping me do really well in school, and keep up with athletics. Also, living in such a big family has taught me to be a kind and loving person. Everyone in my family is really close to each other, and always look out for one another. I have grown accustomed to living that way, and I now treat everyone I know with that same kindness and respect.
Throughout my life, I have played various sports, and around 7th grade, I noticed that my best strength in each of them was the fact that I was faster than all of my competitors. I then tried track, and immediately fell in love. Not only did I thrive in my races, but I found that racing made me happier than any other sport that I had ever done in the past. Track brought out my competitive nature and intense determination, things that I didn’t know were inside of me. From the moment I ran my first race, I just felt complete, and knew that track was the right sport for me. Because of that, I would love to continue to pursue it through high school and in college.
Education has always been very important to me. Getting good grades is my top priority, and it is my goal to have them throughout all of high school and college. I want to do everything that I can in order to ensure that I am thriving in school, and am on track to meet my goal of becoming successful in life.
