Hi! My name is Evelyn Tie and I am a freshman at Darien HS and am located in CT. Over my past 2 years in competitively running Although I’ve only been running for 2 years I adore this sport and everything it’s opened up for me. This sport is a community that is so welcoming, and my teammates and I get closer every day. 

For me leadership is one of my top qualities. being a leader in a sport so individual means helping friends after a rough race/practice, encouraging my teammates during hard workouts, cheering on EVERY runner not just my team, and overall being inclusive to all. My teammates and coaches consider me extremely optimistic, energetic, confident, and kind. 

I strive everyday, every practice and every race to be the best student athlete that I can become. As a middle distance runner, speed and endurance are necessary along with the mental fortitude that will bring me to the finish line. I have many goals, both athletically and academically, that I am working to achieve and I look forward to discussing my future with you!
