Simone Bessong '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Simone Bessong and I am a senior at the Tatnall School in Wilmington, Delaware. I aspire to be the best I can be academically, athletically, spiritually, and mentally.  Academically, I am taking the accelerated S.T.E.M. program at my school and have already achieved special recognition and continued academic excellence.  Spiritually, I believe my faith in God makes me stronger.  Mentally, I contribute to my community and demonstrate leadership through volunteer work. Athletically, I aspire to compete at the elite level in track.  I run the 200 and 400, 100, 55, 60, 300, 4x100, and 4x400. I started running at an early age and fell in love with it along with the community that goes with it. I participated in an elementary running club and did well at it, medaling at AAU events each year. I began participating in sprint track in the 7th grade and was hooked.  I hope to continue running competitively in college and majoring in an engineering program.  I have a strong work ethic and am very coachable, and I want to continue working on skills that will contribute to the team. I believe I have what it takes to be the winning athlete you are looking for.
