I am currently a junior in highschool and I have been throwing since freshman year. I love the sport because I'm able to push myself and my teammates to do better. I have also created many friendships and memories that I wouldn't have made if I hadn't joined track. I am very determined and focused on becoming the best athlete I can be, but I do need help. The past two years I've been coached by wonderful people, but they have had very little to no knowledge of throwing. I know I can become a lot better with the right help, and I have the drive to do it, which is why I want to compete at the collegiate level. My grades have always been important to me, which is why I always stay focused on school. I have taken AP and honors courses in order to learn as much as I can at a levels that will challenge me. I strive to become a physical education teacher because I've always been athletic and loved playing all sports, and I also love to be around people.
Outside of school and track, I work at Roma's Bakery and I also work during the summers on my cousins farm. I have also previously been trained to be a volunteer at Yester Years in Endwell. It is a place where senior citizens can go during the day if their family can't take care of them or they can't be left alone. Many of them have dementia or alzheimer's. I always enjoyed helping them and being a part of making their days just a little bit better. I am very excited to hopefully compete at the college level and I will always give 100% to everything I do. I know there's always room for improvement, and I am looking forward to my future as an athlete.
