I have been interested in running ever since I was in elementary school. I always loved running even when I played soccer, I loved playing the midfield position because it was the position that required the most running. My 7th grade year I was able to make it onto the varsity track team and I have been running track ever since and cross country since 8th grade. Running has always been fun for me and the challenges it provides is also what I love about it. Through running, I have learned that I have a lot more to give when something feels hard. My workouts and races have proven that when it feels hard, the human body is capable of pushing harder and able to achieve greatness. With being an athlete comes injuries and this past season during cross country, I had an injury but I pushed through it and was able to make it to States. Facing obstacles has allowed me to become a stronger athlete. Being a captain of my cross country team has allowed me to become a leader and keep my team positive through practices and meets to reach our team goals.
I have always been focused whenever I run and when I’m in school. I stay focused on goals that I set for myself and stay determined to work hard until I achieve them. My parents have definitely influenced me to be the best person and athlete I can be. They both push me and have influenced me to do well in school as well as on the track/course. My academic goals consist of maintaining a high 90 average for the rest of my high school career and to be in the top 5 of my class. My goals for college would be to find the career that is right for me and graduate successful as well as have a high GPA and to graduate with honors.
