NC XC State Champ...Personal Statement
My name is Madison Flynn but everyone calls me Maddie. I started running in 7th grade Middle School for our cross country and track teams. Before I started running I was a swimmer for 6 years. From my first race in 7th grade I knew I had found my passion. I am a dedicated, hard working and always put in 100 percent in practice, races and meets.
My sophomore year was a great year in Cross Country and Track. I was the Regional Champion in Cross Country made All Conference and All Region. In the States Meet I placed in the top 10 earning me All States Honors First Team.
In track I was the Regional Champion in the mile and the 2 mile and I earned All Conference and All Region. I ran the mile and the 2 mile in States and earned All States First Team for both.
In school I have always been a hard worker and am extremely organized and focused. I take honors classes when offered. In 8th grade I received the only scholarship award given in the school, The Margaret Downy Scholarship Award. This award was based on “individual Integrity”, “Hard work” and “Character”. I am a good teammate, listener and encourager.
My goal has always been to run at the collegiate level. I will continue to use this inner drive to achieve my goal.
