Personal Statement
Hi! I'm Katie Deacon and a Junior at Freedom High School. I began seriously running my sophomore year of high school and absolutely fell in love with the sport. I went from hardly being able to run a mile to competing at the state championship level of running in one year. I am extremely passionate and motivated towards working hard, chasing goals, and enjoying the opportunity to compete in a sport I find exciting and fulfilling. Running in college is a prime goal of mine, and strive to contribute to a strong team and school!
