My name is Lacey Danilovitz. I am a junior at Riverside Junior/Senior High School in Taylor, PA. I currently play basketball and softball and run cross country and track. While I love every sport I play, I am most passionate about cross country and would like to pursue a college career in it.
I just started running competitively two years ago, and I have already fallen in love with it. In my first year alone, I managed to remain undefeated in all seven of our regular season meets, place first at our district meet, and place sixth in the PIAA state championship meet for Class A. I am also very honored to have received multiple accolades, such as being named a Lackawanna Conference Division III All Star, Lackawanna Conference Division III Runner of the Year, 2020 All-Region Performer of the Year, and being selected for both the 2020 and 2021 All-Region Coaches Teams. I am proud to say that this is a result of my hard work and dedication.
I also work to excel in the classroom. As of now, my current class ranking is second of 113 students in my class. I have maintained high honors throughout my entire high school career. I am enrolled in every honors class that is available, and I also take or have taken AP Human Geography, AP US History, AP Language Arts, and AP Biology. I always prioritize my studies above everything I do.
I believe that my hard-working and team-oriented attitude can be a great addition to any team. During the spring sports season, I competed in both track and softball. This has taught and will continue to teach me the time-management skills necessary to run at the college level.
I am planning to pursue a career in physical or occupational therapy, as I love to help people and I love to remain active. I see this occupation as a fantastic combination of those attributes. I believe that a school that pushes its students to succeed and be better people, both in the classroom and on the course, would be a good fit for me. I am very excited to see where the rest of my high school career and the college recruitment process will take me!
