My name is Sirena Lee Gomez. I'm a senior currently with a 91.040 GPA graduating with honors at Banquete High School, class of 2021.
Coming from a family of 8 I will be the second to graduate but first to go to college. it would be a great honor to represent a college on the track all while being able to pursue my dream to major in kinesiology and be the best athletic trainer/ coach. it will give me the opportunity to learn more about what it takes to be a successful coach, mentor and maybe just maybe become a professional Track star. I have worked so hard throughout my high school years academically and athletically to ensure I was a strong candidate for a scholarship, I will take advantage of all the tools and resources available to me, To find the best school with a great track program that suits my goals, and not settle for anything less than I deserve. I am ready to pursue my dreams and aspirations with confidence, determination, and passion. one thing is for sure i will train hard and study harder.
Stepping out of my comfort zone my 7th grade year, I decided to participate in the track and field team at Banquete Jr High, and has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. Athletics has helped me discover a hidden talent (Speed) and a passion to inspire. Running at a competitive level has taught me the importance of 1 SECOND! Building my self esteem. I've gained confidence, I always showed leadership, and maintained self-respect. I'm thankful today that I always took my academics seriously so I never really struggled with ‘No Pass No Play”, and this for sure made me a stronger athlete.
I’m hard working and well give my 110% during practice. I love to complete I love to run and the feeling. I love being apart of a team and getting to bound with each other. I don’t run cause I have to I run because it’s a sport I enjoy. I admit I have a love hate relationship when it comes to track, but it has never put me in my doubts. I set goals that I plan to reach, if I don’t succeed the first time or the next and following, I don’t give up. I push my self to be the best I can be, to the extent I can achieve. I’m your girl.
